WHO ARE WE?

The International Labor Film Festival is a film festival that takes place simultaneously in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir every year from May 1st to 8th and then meets with the audience at different times in many cities of Turkey until the end of the year.

‘An Alternative Festival: No Sponsors, No Competition, and Free’

In 2006, we said, "You produce, we’ll screen!" For years, we have been presenting your work through the global network of Labor Film Festivals. Against the monopoly of mainstream cinema halls, we continue to offer alternative, free screenings and bring films that have not found a place in mainstream cinemas to audiences.

The Festival of Voluntary Labor

Everyone who works for and contributes to the Labor Film Festival is a volunteer. In each city where the festival is organized, there is a festival committee composed of these volunteers. The festival committees consist of people who love cinema and believe that cinema is a tool for raising awareness and preserving social memory. To take part in one of these committees, it is enough to be a volunteer of the Labor Film Festival.
